How are you planning on preventing it from starting in gear?

I sincerely don't mean to come off sounding harsh so I apologize if I do but I would recommend not continuing with this install unless you seriously reconsider putting the R/S in. Remote starts on manual vehicles are dangerous unless it is a unit for that purpose, which the viper is not. There is no way to know 100% for sure that the vehicle is not in gear every time you get out and it only takes once to seriously hurt or kill someone. Hopefully you take this into consideration and by all means put the alarm and keyless functions in just disable the R/S function. Thank You.

Bypassing a clutch lockout to install a remote start in a standard shift vehicle is unsafe and very foolish.  If you read the forum rules, this sort of information is not allowed here.
