Test it with your DMM.
I think mitsubishi require the connection to be broken inorder to remote start.

okay, but is it Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, or Type 4. because i never need to cut any wires on any of the clutch switches. just add a relay, or using the second jumper settings in conjunction with a relay to alow any of the following types to remote start. and there is only 4 types. i do this all day long, but i haven't had to do an eclipse yet. and i use a circut protected test light, not a DMM. DMM's are a little less reliable when testing certian circuts. well that is my expereince at least.

Connect one side of the cut wire to 87a. Connect the other side of the wire to 30. Connect 86 to your ignition wire and 85 to the Compustar black Status out wire in connector 2, pin 2. Make sure you have the ebrake wiring hooked up.
normally open during r/s
