trunk trigger false alarm

2000 mustang gt (-) trunk trigger keeps falsing my alarm......i put a diode in with the cathode side on the GEM side of the wire...........how can i keep trunk protect w/o it falsing...........its a 771 alarm

1) You need more than 1 diode
2) Isolate the problem and make it simple. Simply give your trunk a dedicated trigger and don't share it with your doors or anything else
You really answer your question, you've got to give far more details. If you can't write, please draw out a diagram.

Your diode is backwards.  The cathode is supposed to go on the side away from the gem.  You also want to make sure the trunk trigger from the alarm is connected to the same side of the wire as the cathode of the diode is.
