I installed a prestige 997 on a nissan sentra yesterday, but for some reason it does not want to remote start..........all it does when i press to remote start is flash the lights seven times....can anyone help me with this prob..............could it be the brain?...i tried another brain and it worked.......so that ruled out the wiring on the car. could it be programming?

You need to program the tach wire.  Key on press and release valet button three times - horn honks, turn off key - horn honks again, press and hold valet and start the car, parking lights will begin to flash when the tach is learned.

Other wise set the unit for voltage sense

They've changed the programming for the newer Audiovox stuff, and it's very confusing, especially at first.
7 flashes definitely means it's in tach mode, with tach not programmed.
You must have made a mistake with the programming, but I'm not beating you up over it; it really is confusing!
But, I would say to go back into programming again, doing it very very carefully, and make sure it's in voltage sense.
