To remove the airbag, first disconnect the battery and then pull the airbag fuse out in the fuse box. Then disconnect the yellow plug under the passenger side dash to completely disable it. There are four 10mm nuts on each corner of the airbag you need to remove. You need a deep socket and an 8 inch extension to get to them. You are lucky if you can see them with a mirror. A trick to put the airbag back in later is to leave it out of the dash a half inch or so and start each bolt. You can't really see the studs to line up the nuts unless you do this and peek in from the front. Once you have done one it's easier because you know where the hidden nuts are. Patience and you will get it.

What really sucks, is the first one I had to do, I did as a favor to a dealer for free. I learned to always check the car before quoting that day. To make matters even worse, he blew one speaker up two months later.
