I have a 1996 Honda Accord and want to add horn honk to my alarm.

My alarm Is a Clifford RSX3.5 How would i hook it up to this alarm.

Also i have remote start that i use so i dont want the horn honking when i remote start the car.

Off the SIREN output you can wire up a relay to trigger the horn output. If the output of the RSX 3.5 is a (+) then you will need to use this diagram to reverse the polarity for the Accord to honk the horn.

Horn Trigger -- blu/red or grn/blu (-) steering column

Depending on when the unit was made, it may already have a (-) horn honk output. You will have to look at the alarm brain. It is in a 2 pin harness...brown wire. The other wire in the harness is ORANGE / black. If you didn't do the install, the original installer may have not plugged that harness in if it wasn't being used.

Thanks I got it to work useing this diagram

86 - siren output (assuming its pos)

85 - ground

87 - ground

30 - horn (assuming its neg)

It work's How would i hook it up so it does not honk when i arm or disarm the alarm. I only want it to go off when it broken in to.

Have you tried setting the alarm off? The horn will probably stay on constant for 30 seconds. Not a good idea. Use the domelight supervision output to 85 instead. It pulses when the alarm is triggered. It may also eliminate the arm honk.

Have you had the system for a long time? If it was made within the last year it will have a horn honk output.

Yes the horn stays on constant but not sure how long could not wait to see got neighbors.

What would be so bad about the horn staying on for 30 seconds or more.

Also i got the alarm in 2005 and it says 2005 on the installation guide.

But i dont see any wire for horn honk what color would it be.
