If you intend to install a remote starter, with or without an alarm, you will require a module to interface with the trucks Passlock II system. If you only intend to install an alarm, you don't need any type of module. You may need relays to interface with the door lock system as it uses 12 volt positive triggers.

apreciate your help sparkie so i dont have to mes with the factory keyless for nothing right?

just set up the alarm like if the truck does not have anything onit?

when you say interface with the door locks all it is that it needs 12 v to work right?

i know some stuff and what i dont know ill make it up feel free to ask

Ignore the factory keyless entry. Leave the remotes at home. The alarm's remotes will arm/lock the truck and disarm/unlock the truck. The lock wire is light blue and the unlock wire is white. Both can be found at the door lock relay above the gas pedal.
