I was thinking about getting one in a couple of months to gain a few more db or so i heard. any comments on what would be a good purchase?

i heard that the player difference between the legacy i have now that if i got a eclipse it would possibly gain a few db or so.

Maybe (and that's a BIG maybe), but not a noticeable difference... The sound quality will improve DRASTICALLY, though.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

well one cd player would be better than another. Like a walmart junker compared to a pioneer or the eclipse i mentioned. I would think there would be some difference noy only in sound quality, but in other aspects. maybe....

I had a peice of crap pioneer and switched to an eclipse 8445 and gained .2 db.... so I guess you could say it gains very little but I can't tell the difference in volume... just quality is 100% better
