There's really no reason to, the airbag harness is long enough to reach the floor. I just drop it and push it foward, gives me plenty of room. Unplugging the bag and flipping the ignition on will light it up, my bet is a trip to the dealer would be in order after that....

Thats the way I have done them in the past, do you disconnect the battery when you unbolt them and lay them on the floor or leave it connected? I was leary and disconnected the battery.

I just drop them, never disconnected a battery in 20 years....

Just wanted to make sure, I have heard it hurts to get hit in the face with an air bag.
