Some pictures of the diamond room I built. The D9's are actually in an enclosure and the grill snaps in place. They sound incredible.

Some pictures of the home theatre room I have been working on. Just picture everything that is now in vinyl as lame, red laminate and all speakers, recievers and tv just sittin on wood shelves. The suede inserts cover up the seams created by the seperate pieces of wood.

my favorite new thing, raised suede. This sign goes above the tv in the home theatre room.

CA&E readers will recognize this, it was in last months issue. I slightly modified it to suit my taste. The ipod fits so snug that I can turn it upside down. This is a display unit and I have sold 2 since it has been done for about a week.

Thanks alot guys for taking the time to look through these. I really appreciate your input.

I like them. I always appreciate clean work. What did you use under the suede to raise it and what kind of adhisive. I seem to have a problem with my adhisive staining the suede.

Thanks, I am known for taking longer than i quote on jobs but also for being worth the wait.  I used 1/8" foam.  I was kind of on the fence about whether to use foam or vinyl.  The foam definitely pops more but the vinyl would have been eaier to lay over.  This is going in a big room so it need to pop so I used the foam.  I use landau contact adhesive.  Spray it on the board and then spray it lightly and from a distance on the suede to prevent bleed through.

This is what the second picture of the d9 component display was supposed to be.  You can see how the grill snaps in place now.

Nice work. I can apreciate the time and effort, well worth it. Nice to see others who also take pride in thier work.

Couple questions, on some of the ported enclosures the port is blocked. Is this for any kind of function such as making it a sealed enclosure, or just decorative and it gets removed? Jus curious.

And is that 1399.99 the price of the speakers or a sku number? lol, way out of my league if thats a price.    ; )

Thank you guys very much.  I am a perfectionist when it comes to this and I'm glad to see that it shows a little.

The ports aren't actually blocked, there is the vinyl beauty panel that goes over the whole box and the port hole in the panel is covered in grey grill cloth.  Its acoustically transparent, just for looks and so I would have somewhere to put that little flying d.  You should see that thing bounce around, its awesome.

Yes, that is the price tag, I would never pay that either.  I can get those right now though for a ridiculously low price so I'm thinking about doing it.  They sound so good in an enclosure.

Your welcome. Once again great job..I like those port panels, they look good.

I might be concered as even though you state acoustically transparent that doesn't mean it will have no effect on the air flow. But you said they sound really good so that's what counts.

They better sound good for that price..and do my dishes as well..lol

Wish I could afford the really good stuff like that but gotta wait. I am working diligently to get to that point but right now my prorities can only afford me beer pockets, Champaign taste,

Take care.

Nice work.  Good slot port design, although it looks like the chamber is pretty small.  What is that, about 1 cuft?
