Hello all

This is a pretty simple question,

Do i need a mounting kit when installing a new HU on a ford Escort??

I know its a Single Din opening, but i also think its oversized as well

just looking for some feedback on this thanks,

A kit is not necessary but I believe it looks better if you at least put a 1/4" trim ring around the opening and this is generally cheaper than the whole kit.

Off hand I can't remember any escorts that need the amp integration harness, the escort was a lower car model and as such didn't have amplified systems so the normal ford harness with the long black and long grey plugs should be the one you need, Metra and scosche both sell a version and any car install place should have it.
