I just installed a new starter in my 98 Expedition, due to failure. When i changed this out I had to disconnect the battery. Since I have done this the DEI Valet 561r starter isn't working do i need to relearn the transmitter like original. Or is there something wrong with my remote start?

Thanks

Warren

2004 dodge truck

single wire system (ground - )

I have never installed a internal relay setup

I need a ground output for both lock and unlock.  I already have the proper resistor setup to work just need to figure out the alarm output.....

the lock common output 30, lock nor closed 87, lock open 87(input) ; where do they go

unlock 30 common output, unlock 87 nor open 87 input ; where do they go

thanks in advance, I cant figure this out

Peter

Ward, did you make sure to ground the BLACK/ white wire on the DEI piece? This wire is a neutral safety wire which is not needed on your Expedition. If this wire does not see a ground the starter will not engage.
BruceWayne, you need to start your own thread...do that and someone will answer.

That is odd, must have been a glitch with the site.
Glad to hear you got it working!
