Just had to ask, you would be surprised how many people I have had to explain that to when showing them their system.
Do the parking lights flash when you attempt to start by remote? Does the system respond to the transmitter at all?

The parking lights do not flash when i attempt remote start. Although they do flash when i am "programming" it so i assume the meands the system did respond to the transmitter. Although it does take 3-5 times for it to "program"

I just re-read the manual for it, and it shows no type of programming that requires use of the remote. As a matter of fact I saw no way to add another remote either.
Go ahead and try another battery in theremote, see if that fixes it. Keep us posted.

Well the manual i got with the unit says to "program the unit by putting key in on position and wait 5 seconds and hold program, and wait for parking lights to flash to confirm it's been programmed" Not an exact quote but that's the basic idea. Well i did the new battery idea and it will remote start literally 1 out of maybe 10 tries so i narrowed it down to the remote. I'm going to see if i can find another replacement one or at least a universal dei one. anyone know of any? Thanks for the help so far i appreciate it.

Ok well a bit of an update. I got it working more and more now almost every try it will work with the new battery. I still think the transmitter might have some issues. but nonetheless i'm happy with it and thanks a lot for the help.
