i would call directed but it seems they dont have a tech line. anywhoo, im having a couple problems with my install.
1.does keys sender wire (green)from alarm go to the little black and pink wire near the key switch? if so, why does the alarm make the factory buzzer ring when i connect them?
2.this is a custom van for handicapped people and there is no manual park brake. can i ground the neutral safety switch?
3.do i need to hook up the remote start activation wire? if so to what.
4. also there are four or five smaller wires coming off the remote start ribbon harness. do i use these?

1. Do you mean the fat green from the relays? If so, thats the key side of the starter wire.

2. Yes, you can ground the BLACK/ white.

3. no, you don't need to connect the activation wire.

4. On this van you shouldn't need any of the signal wires off the relays....

You shouldn't be connecting anything to the BLACK/ pink wire. That's the keysense wire, leave it alone. THere's a WHITE/ pink wire in the igntion harness, that's the starter wire. Cut it. connect the end coming from the key cylinder to the fat green wire, and connect the fat purple wire to the end going towards the car. Yes, you need to program tach...

it seems to be working fine without the green wire hooked up at all. ive got the purple going to the pink/white. i couldnt understand the green going to the other side of pink/white wire. should i change it, i guess so. what would it do incorrectly without it. my guess is it would know when to stop the autostart when the key is turn to ign.. the only way my remote start shuts off is when the brake is pressed, right?

The reason for the green wire is anti grind. With it running thru the relay if you accidently turn the key to start it won't grind the starter. It's also the starter kill relay for the alarm portion of it.

You can also shut it off with the remote. Just press the RS button twice while it's running. You can also turn the RS on while it's already running with the key( a feature i love!).

Yes, however, you need to isolate them with diodes.

Just connect the BLACK/ blue positive dome light wire(located in the harness in the drivers kick panel) directly to the purple positive door trigger input on the AM7. This will cover all 4 doors, no need for the separate door wires....
