I am inclined to think that I have not set the car into ready mode, they are not really clear on the instructions about doing that, I am pretty sure that is all I need to do with this remote.

To put it into ready mode, have the car running. Engage the parking brake and put it into neutral. Take your foot off the brake and press the start button on the remote for a few seconds. When you hear a few clicks and the lights flash you can remove the key. Open the drivers door and then close it. Push the lock button on the remote. The car should shut down or it may take one minute until it does. After it shuts down, then you push the start button on the remote to activate the starter. If you haven't hooked up the drivers door pin wire or the parking brake wire, then you must otherwise the system won't work.

lol I feel stupid now after checkin over the wiring schematics, I forgot to connect the wire for the door pin, so I will do that tomorow, its a - polarity so I am just going to ground it out and then try to get the remote to start the car. I printed off the autostart wiring info, I somehow missed that step. I will let you know how I make out after I hook it up.

yeah I got the wiring info on the car, I am pretty much a guru when it comes to escorts, I am super familiar with them. The remote starter game however I have not done so much with. I never got the time to install that wire today but I will get the time soon, as soon as I do I will update and let ya know how I made out.

ok I got everything hooked up and it worked for me twice, I got a loose wire that goes into the plug which I have to reinforce so I think that will clue it up, thanks for the help.
