tuning to higher frequencies sound much louder than tuning to lower frequencies using the same power output so essentially more power is needed for lower frequencies. Further my suystem has three 35Hz filters so i'm basically running pure 35 Hz while blocking out the higher frequencies.

There is no point in having subs lowpassed at 35Hz...I mean if you do you can really feel those quick double bass and kick drums can't you??

My preference is low frequency bass it sounds better and travels further. I have a soundstream bx10 bass reconstruction machine which really boosts the lower frequencies so it sounds great. The hifonics gave me a better quality bass and i noticed a reduced current draw in the readings on my digital capacitor but i am still sceptical about it's real power output. However it's worth the investment
