hi guys. i was wondering if you could suggest any head unit with a good clear monitor touch screen that has a hard disk drive. our choices here in the philippines are very limited so i was wondering if you help me out. i plan to order it and have it shipped from the U.S. unless its available elsewhere. your help would really be appreciated.  i am into sound quality set up so was hoping to get a real good sound producing head unit but at the same time not reaching $1000! hoping that it would just be around $700

The only two that have HDD and monitor I know of are:Pioneer AVIC-Z1 and Eclipse AVN5495,Eclipse AVN7000.
Any of those will run you from $1,700 to $2,500 new. Even on the net from authorized dealer.

Check-out Cardomain.com, they may have something within your budget. Kenwood DDX 8017 Excelon would cost over $1000 new. I have 6019 and it does the work for me. You can record your music or video on a dvd-r and play it for a long time, if that is not enough, you can plug-in a cd changer or mp3 player to it.
