Hi,

I had to replace a control module in my truck for the remote start/alarm.  the only problem is, my truck starts, then turns off a second later. it will not stay running. i've checked the hood pin switch, the brake pedal etc, and im stumped. my truck is a 99 gmc sonoma. any suggestions would be great. thanks-

when you replaced the control module with the new one it seems that you did not reprogram the new one to learn  the tach signal on the vehicle - reprogram the unit to your tach signal and you should be allset

Also, you need to program the resistance code to the 555L bypass module, unplug the control unit completely again - to erase any memory in the L, then plug it back in.  Before attempting to remote start the truck, start it with the key and let it run for 5 seconds - the 555L will learn the proper resistance code needed for remote start.  Program the tach setting on the unit, and you should be good to go
