Remote Start on a Yamaha Quad, Ideas

So my boss wants me to put a Remote Start on his quad for him. He has a 04(ish?) Yamaha (not real sure of the model yet but thats not important) and we were trying to think of creative things we could do. We're planning on installing possibly an Avital 4000 or something simple like that, however we were thinking of installing a proximity sensor, with the 1st zone wire hooked to the negative activation input on the remote start so that when you walk up to the quad breaking the zone it will remote start. Of course I was planning on connecting the power to the proximity sensor to unlock wire from the brain (no locks on the quad, and this way he can turn off this feature when necessary) The issue that comes up in my mind however is that if I have the negative activation input hooked to the prox, then the remote start will probably start, and turn off and start and turn off etc with him moving around until he disengages the remote start with the brake pedal. I need a way to disengage the power to the prox after it sends the negative pulse to the RS. Anybody have any creative ideas?

Your biggest problem will be if it's non-fuel injected. The rest is easy. There should be a neutral light that you can run the Avital blk/wht  wire to so it will only start in neutral. But good luck if it's carburated. It won't start and run when cold  without some means of turning on the choke.

If you get past that problem, you can use the blue status output wire to trigger a relay  to turn off the sensor while it's running.

I wondered if I might be able to use the negative status output to disengage the sensor. Only thing I'm wondering about then is what will happen the second he kills the quad, it turns off and then the prox sensor kicks back on.

Oh and the quad is fuel injected so that'll get me past that problem.
