I've been running an audiobahn amp to 2 pairs of audiobahn component speakers and another audiobahn amp to a pair of subs. Recently my components jus stopped playing music and now jus this popping sound (my subs still play). I looked at my amp and it's flashing in and out of protection mode. I think the power light is on as well but i might be mistaken. Can anybody tell me what might cause this

If the popping sound is a consistent timed pulse,  meaning every 5 or 6 seconds there is a half second of sound.   You have shorted output transistors in your amp.

more then likely, it will be more expensive to rebuild the amp then it would cos to buy another one.   Audiobahn is not the most reliable name out there.
looks like its time to upgrade

Nope not expensive to fix.  Do you have a digital Volt/Ohm  Meter?  or have access to one       you will also need a 2.5MM Allen wrench   a soldering iron and some solder    and some desoldering braid available at radio shack.

It will take 2 parts  that you can get online for about 5 dollars each  plus S&H
