hi everyone put this unit in and had tons of issues with the trunk. i used a relay and could get it to open but only sometimes

but could not get it to close. also sometime when i pushed the trunk button the car would start and the starter would stay ingaged.

so was the relay hooked up wrong or what did i do wrong.

tnx in advance

what model autostart? how did you wire the relay? check remote start fuses to make sure they are good.

Does the system work good without the trunk hooked up?

"there were 2 power sorces the trunk wire from the remote and the yellow green from the car was cut into and each put on the relay"

the trunk release wire should be positive, so no need to cut the wire. the relay should be wired like this...

85- negative trunk release from remote start   ,  86- +12v constant,  30- +12v constant,   87a- N/A,              87- tap into YELLOW /GREEN (vehicle trunk release wire)

As for the vehicle remote starting when you press the trunk button, try removing the harness that has the trunk release wire ( i believe its a 12pin harness). if the vehicle still starts while hitting the trunk release button, then you can safely assume there is either a problem with the remote configuration, or the unit itself.

try and use at least periods in your posts, its hard to break down what your asking.
