I just installed a 10.5x on my car and am having some problems with it. Every time I try to arm the system it sets off the siren and won't arm. Also the valet button isn't working.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be? This is installed on a 1979 Monte Carlo, and I did it myself. Thanks

well it sounds like the ignition wire is not correct.  Did you test it with a DMM?  Also another problem you should change....the ORANGE / black from the clifford needs to be hooked to a relay to send a positive 12v trigger to the accessory wire and not hooked directly to the accessory wire in the car.  You take a risk of damaging the brain if you leave it hooked like that

Yes I checked it with a multimeter. 12v in on position & start. Where should I move this connection to? Thanks for the tip on the accessory wire. What type of relay would you recommend?

basiclly what the orange black wire does is allow all the electronics in the car that are being powered by the Accessory wire to stay on until you exit the car.  I would recommand getting a single throw single pole relay and with the orange black to the pin 85
