I have the DEI Valet 561R Remote Start for my car does anyone have any idea on how you wire it? I have no idea what the 4 pin Satillite harness is for.

If you are not familiar with automotive electrical systems, I would STRONGLY recommend having an installer do the job for you. You will also need a bypass module for the 01 Grand Am in addition to just the starter itself.

Satellite harness might be for negative outs for wiring in relays to power 2nd ignition or 2nd starters.  Second, how do you know the bypass module is working if the remote start isn't?

I can start the vehicle without using the key by giving power to the ignition wires, and then i can just give power to the starter wire to crank it. After that the car will run.
The remote start doesnt sent the power to the wire that it needs to when the button has been pressed. Thanks for the info above.
