adding shock sensor to factory alarm

Can i add a shock sensor to a factory alarm on a 97 ford explorer.

if so how do i do it.

you would just get a regular shock sensor.
give it 12v and ground, and hook up the trigger wire to the factory door trigger wire.
DOOR TRIGGER       BLACK/ LIGHT BLUE (+)       IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL
since all shock sensor trigger ouput are neg, you will have to use a relay. if you are confused about the relay part look at BASICS at the top left and scroll down to relay.
you will convert the neg output of your shock sensor into pos with the relay.
the shock sensor will be on all the time.
to me, this is too much work just for a shock sensor, i would just get a hornet 727t and install that.

I believe that would make the interior light flicker while you drive! Use the hood pin switch wire for the trigger, it will work fine....
