I just installed the DEI (Hornet) 569T remote starter in my fiance's '01 Honda Accord LX (without factory alarm), and realized that it's got the immobilizer key (RS works with the key inside the ignition cylinder). Anyways, next step is to get an ignition key immobilizer bypass installed. What's the difference between the DEI 555H and the 556HW? Will both work? Is one plug and play, and the other is strip and solder? No big deal either way, bit a 10 minute job is nicer than 2 hours...

both will requre for you to cut a wire in half and to tap into other wires.
555h deals with older hondas (98-02), 556h does everything 555h does plus newer years.
BTW, you can also search for bypasskit's PKH2
they are all the same when it comes to wiring, all require 1 key for programming.
pick whicher is cheaper.

Thanks. My local Tweeter has the 556H in stock for less than mail order + shipping, so that it is. Thanks again!

IMO, i like it better than DEI 555H or 556H. very low profile.
