Did you use a theft bypass module. You need one to bypass the passlock 2 theft system.

I Installed the starter first  and then when i went to hook up the bypass module  (XK06) i noticed that the wiring colors ect did not match what i had.so i thought that i could still start the truck normally until i could figure out the bypass details.the truck already had a Artic start starter and a bypass (no name on it).but it has always gave me problems when it get real hot inside the truck so i thought i would change it.i just unhooked the bypass and resoldered the wires back togather.

Make sure that there is not another break on the wire for the Passlock wire ( use a DMM and set to continuity ).

There should be a yellow and a black wire that runs up to the ignition switch they are thin wires usually the yellow wire is cut into for most bypasses. If the truck get the wrong code I think you have to turn the key on for like 12 minutes then it should start as long as the wires are intact.

xk06 can be an issue. What is it stamped for on the top? They can be preprogrammed for several different interfaces.

Also passlock II wires are thin wires usually yellow, orange with black stripe and red with white stripe. On some they did yellow, black and white.

Make sure all wires are fully intact again. Then turn on and try starting with key. If it trips security leave key on for 15 minutes and come back  turn off then back on and it should start up and run. Then you need to figure out if you got the right interface program for the xk06 to work on that truck.

My XK06 is PKG7. I havnt had it fully hooked up because i couldnt decipher where the wires went ..the colors that they to use ,i didnt have on mine.so i resoldered the yellow wire back togather and just unpluged the remote starter. also i tried leaving the key on for 15 mins.then i turned it off and tried to start but the sercuity light just keeps flashing and the truck just stalls .this thing is driving me crazy .:)

The XK06 is wrong. It will NOT work on that truck. You need it programmed for a PLXR

How are the other 2 wires? either orange with black stripe and red with white stripe or black and white wires?

after 15 minutes was the security light flashing?

Make sure you try to start with key first, then leave the ignition on without shutting it off. Wait the 15 minutes.
