i have installed a boa remote start on a 1991 ford explorer. there was a bulldog security system installed already but for some reason it stoped working so i bought the boa. i installed the boad and followed all instructuions except wiring the parking lights wire which is optional so i decided not to do it. but after the install is done i hit the remote 2 times to start it and there is no response nothing happends. can somebody tell me were i should beging troubleshooting? also if its helpful there is a WHITE/ blue wire on the module that was never hooked up can somebody please help because its my first time doing such a thing and i would really like to accomplish this task.

If im not mistaking you have to program the remotes to the system before the will work. You also should be able to touch the WHITE/ blue wire to ground twice and make it start to test the unit. Programming the remotes is a pain.

Same issue for mine, great instructions except noting the fact that you need to program the remotes before you their essential first programming step.

I thought on the boas you needed the parking lights hooked up for it to go into programming mode.

You dont have to have the parking lights hooked up.

Could anyone help me.... I have a BOA remote start and I have lost the paperwork with the program codes. How do I get them. I had to have a radio put into my car and the unhooked the battery and now my starter doesn't work.... PLEASE HELP

I am having the same trouble, i got the BOA remote starter all hooked up and now it wount work. I cant even get the remote to program. Any advice?

well im back i have tried everything to try to get this unit to work. what i did was i tried to hook up the white and blue wire to ground by tapping it twice but it dint start. could it be the unit itself or its just me not getting the right hook ups. another thing that might be useful is that this truck had a bulldog system and when i changed the alternator it stoped working could i have done something to the battery causing none of these systems to respond? by the way i have a ford explorer year 1991. any help would be useful. im getting ready to throw stuff away. boa remote starter not worrking -- posted image.
