I am doing an install on my grandmothers 1991 or 92 buick lasabre. Do I need any type of bypass? It has the chip in the key. THanks. I looked under the  wiring info and it did not say. I am installing a crimestopper  900V. THanks.

From my diagrams, it looks like th 1991 model does not, but the 1992 has a VATS resistor based security system. The "chip" in this case is actually a resistor. You will have to override that with a bypass module or with a resistor & relay.
