"Opening a door will still trigger the alarm if the dome override is pushed"
Put the windows down and try the passenger rear door to be sure it's not just the shock sensor triggering.

The rear doors will NOT trigger the alarm.  It doesn't matter if the dome light override button is pushed or not.  The dome light comes on when the rear doors are opened, but the alarm does not trigger.   How could this be?  I can't find the Alarm brain to see if I can track down the wire connection.  I may have to pull some dash panels off.  Does anyone have any ideas where that thing may be?

This is horrible.  I need to gather all the ammo I can and go back to the dealer.

I wouldn't pull any dash panels off or anything. Just test the system out good and note anything it's not doing that you feel it should be doing. If a third party company installed it @ the dealership, you may want to work something out to have the vehicle taken directly to their shop for the day. As an installer who goes to dealerships, I can vouch that I don't have the time to sit around and watch a vehicle to make sure it doesn't false alarm. If it sits at their shop they should have a little more time to correct it and fully test it.

Just wondering if it's not common practice to have the rear doors alarm.  I'll be taking it back to the dealership next week.  I want to have all my ducks in a row.

Thanks,

Corey

It's obvious they didn't connect into the door triggers because it would have covered all your doors  when the dome comes on.
