yea I know kicker... I'm thinking about cutting my box to fit 15" squares and buying two 15" l5's... or I may just buy some l5's or l7's as 12's with a box, and just ditch my old box, and not buy a system for my other car, but just make it easy to transfer the subs and amp.

how much power does your amp make?
have you been to any shops to listen to anything 1st hand?
most shops have installed their woofers in various configs and can tell you what will get loud in your car.

I do all my wiring, and I know about the various configs, the speakers had two 4 ohm voice coils, so I ran those in parallel, making each speaker 2 ohms. Since my amp isn't 1 ohm stable, I didn't bridge it, and ran each speaker to each output. The amp puts out about 360 watts at each channel when run at 2 ohms. So thats all good.
Anyways, I talked to my guy last night, and he said he's getting in a shipment of the '07 15" JBL GTO150. He said that their only rated at 300rms, but that their way underrated, and that a 2000w class D mono amp will really push them. I just don't think that they will really be a step up from what I have though.

If you don't want to spend too much money and you want to use the same sealed enclosure I'd recommend the fi Q15

He does not have enough power for a Q...and also, whatever you go with, do yourself a big favor and build a custom ported box...

If the woofers are in a common chamber, i would most definitely bridge the amp
