Ok I am doing a 2000 caravan it is wired as a 2001 with the secind start wire and all. I did it as per the wiring diagrams of a few companies and it still just cranks. It does not have an imobilizer system on it so that is not the problem. I took the reading from the second start relay with the resistor in place and it is a negaitive with 180- ohms of resistance. I am lost on what to do here.
thanks,
Denny

I have 3 different sources I use. The vehicle is a 2000 Manufature date of 08/00 It does not have any of these colors you mentioned in the ignition harness just the PURPLE / brown, pink/white, yellow as mentioned in the 2001 wiring diagrams. It does not have any of the 2000 wire colors in it other than the yellow

08/00 is considered 2001 for wiring reference.

Have you verified the ignition wire ie the pinl/white is getting powered properly through the crank cycle? I am assuming you  have the black key also?.

You need to send a (-)starter pulse throug a relay 180 ohms at the purp brown [key sensor]in the ign switch.. if not done the car will just crank
