Sounds like you too have experianced the Fun of a BMW 5 series. 2000 bmw 5 series remote start - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image.

If I had to do it again I would, The wires were all right there, using the factory immoblizer was easy enough. It is all time in pulling it apart. I am sure I can whip through it a little faster.

Well now after 2 days he says he is getting into another issue. Out of the 100's of R/S systems I have installed I have yet to hear this one. He said this morning he started the car with the key after about 5 minutes the car stalled out, drove to the end of the drivway got out to get the paper and during this time the car stalled again.

What makes this so weird is I do not see how the remote starter could have anything to do with this, especially when the car was started by key.

Does this just happen to be a fluke? The one thing that crossed my mind was the car was seeing 2 coded keys at the same time but it then dawned on me that the 556U is not active when the remote start is not used so this could not be the cause.

Do you think that something with the remote start can cause this or is it a fluke? I am totally mind boggled and now he is nervious and wants to pull it out.
