ok, i don't have any experience with telematics but i have seen acouple of alarms from audiovox with telematic port inputs. i am wanting to possibly do a setup on several vehicles that all have DEI Viper alarms that can be controlled from my cell phone or wife's cell phone. the alarms and/or keyless systems that i want to perform this on do not have telematic inputs on any of them. i have a 97 honda accord (wife's car) and a 90 bmw 5 series both that have viper 560xv's on them and my ford f-150 lighting with a 160vx on it. if it matters i would like to use my treo650 and or my wife's nokia phone to control each or all vehicles. any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance for the suggestions.

you can use th etelematics with the CAUGM then u can use it with any alarm or remote start but you can not sue all the functions of the telematics, but you can start car and unlock doors.

cool, i found it thru google and it says that i will have to use the CL100. i think we carried this at my last store right before i quit. i will do some research and see if that will be all i need. i'm assuming that the dei systems i have do not have telematic ports on them but i will check that tomorrow too. thanks for the quick response and if you have any other suggestions post em up. i would really like to build a telematics system from scratch but i like i said i don't have any experience with how they work. thanks again.

I carry the cl100, it will only work with audiovox remote starters, it will not work with any other brand starter.

yea the caugm looks  like it might be the only way to go. i noticed that most sites had the cl100 coupled with it since the cl100 only works for the audiovox telematics port on the upper end units. as of right now i just want to remote start and lock/unlock but i'm wondering if any other manufactor is making something for this type of set up that will allow more functions. thanks for all the input swamprat and mxx i'll let you know how it goes. thanks again.
