Hello Northen, I was not referring to a relay for the trunk. I am referring to externals relays you install with the ultrastart Alarm.

Do yo install a a Anti-Grind relay? Is yes, check if it has the diode on the coil terminals.

Do you install a Starter Kill relay? Is yes, check if it has the diode on the coil terminals.

What about other relays you install with the ultrastart alarm? Do you use relays for the door locks?

Make sura all of them have the diode.

He didn't need relays for the applications he is describing, the ultra start comes with negative trigger lock outputs and a negative trigger for trunk or hatch release. It is an internal problem inside the brain on the remote start.

some of the units only have .250ma - triggers and it states u need a relay. sometimes u dont if ur triggering the bcm which has a relay in it...
