That makes sense, finally I am starting to understand the way this truck works. My 1998 silverado was so much simpler!

haha. a 1998 Silverado is perhaps one of the easiet vehicles out there. Lots of people on here will agree with that one. If you dont wire the relay in for the parking lights, the fog light indicator will stay on after remote start in some cases, whether it actually has fog lights or not. I've tried the way you mentioned to "experiment" and thats what happens. So, just put the relay in and you'll be just fine.

I was planning on it, I was just curios as to why it was needed. I would like to do the headlights as well seeing that I will have 2 extra relays but the wire color and resistor needed is not listed in the wiriing diagram on here.

Will that parking light relay trick work with a 2006 Grand Cherokee?

that parking light trick will not work on the Cherokee. You have to go to the parking light relay in the engine bay at pin 1 at the relay. The resistor value for the headlights on the Ram (for gms81) is 650 ohms and 1.1 kohm for the parking lights.
