On the Toyota and Ford hybrids I have done, i have had to turn engine checking off, and set crank time to 2 sec. Works perfect every time.

Voltage sense will not adversely affect the vehicle no more than the tach signal would affect the vehicle. The voltage sense uses the same wire on some remote starters and is only an input.

I remember I used to read about volt sensing not being too good for the car. Are there any long term problems which can arise, and if so what are they? Ive NEVER used volt sensing because of that reason. Are there any specific crank times I should set it to?

the newer remote starters have a pretty good voltage sensing mode, and the newer the car the better too. You shouldn't have any problem with that, I know some installers that insist on voltage even if the tach wire is right in front of their face. Of course I still think you should use the tach when possible.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.

The next time I see the car, I will first try leaving the heater on, turn the car off, and then remote starting it. If it doesnt start, then volt sensing it is. I'll post up as soon as I get the results. Thanks again :)
