ok 2 make a long story short: I ordered a ultrastarters 3500 alarm. t tapped the alarm real well. the fm pager didn't receive a signal from the alarm box so I trashed it. now my locks don't work...they make a funny noise but don't move..sometimes the car won't start when it makes this noise and if the radio is on and I push the power to adjust the seat the radio blanks out.
so what should I do???
should I go 2 an alarm shop???
what's wrong with my car??
any thoughts, opinions or suggestions will help.....thanx

what kind of car is it?   year/make/model?

do the door locks work with the original switches?

did you cut any ignition wires?

where did you ground the alarm?

do you have a digital multimeter?  and did you use it to verify all the wires that you tapped into?

did you solder your connections?

if you dont feel comfortable troubleshooting, it might be a good idea to take it to a shop.  alarm systems tie into many circuits on the car, and if you dont have alot of experience, it can be difficult to find out what is causing your problems.
