So KarTuneMan, the problem is there is not a strong enough ground going to the bypass module I take it..now that actually makes sense.. and explains the reason this has never happened to me before and I do so many. apparently the systems I install put out a better ground on the bypass output wire then whatever is being used here..or..the bypass modules I use don't require as strong a ground..either way, good info and very helpful

ok he finally got it working by getting real close to the right resistance, (9.33k tested, 9.30k actual ) the only problem is that when he puts the relay back in the mix it turns it on again, without the relay it works just fine. could the relay be changing the resistance to the pk2 module enough for it to notice the difference and turn the light on?

That would appear to be what is happening. If thats the case don't use the relay..I never had to..but then again I have never seen this problem before.
