You could also run a piece of 9con to the amp under the passenger seat and pull the output plug from the amp. Test with a good multimeter or a speaker popper and find your channels. Then connect the 9con to the back of your head unit and the output plug on the amp. Test for ohm load also. You don't want to burn up your high level outputs. If needed replace the speakers at the end of the 4 channels you are going to use. You're bypassing your amp.

hope I helped you some,

David

Also, allways fuse between every battery you use. Better safe than fire!!!

If you add another battery the PROPER way to fuse is after the front battery AND before the rear battery

If you are adding a 4 channel to your factory infinity speakers you will most definitely blow them out. The factory infinity system speakers run at 2 ohms and each have a separate channel at the amp.
The amp is located under the front passenger seat. I would recommend replacing the front components and 6x9's (leave the center unplugged) now, since you will have to replace them very soon anyways.
You will need the Metra 70-7003 amp integration harness to use the factory HU with the aftermarket amps.
I too have a third generation Eclipse. If you need any other info about any other part of the car, go over to www.club3g.com! We have a great community that is willing to help with every aspect!
