2004 rsx avic n3

I just installed an AVIC-N3 unit in my 2004 RSX, the only problem is that I thought I had the right vehicle speed lead correct (based on the manual downloaded from another site) and it's incorrect. I have no details on engine performance through the screen; I have searched and searched for a manual that will give a decent wiring diagram of the car but haven't found one yet. Has anybody worked an '04 RSX before or do you have a specific site that you reference for your manuals that will point me in the correct direction? Also, the parking brake lead from the unit was connected to the positive lead from the parking brake switch and the unit was still reading that the parking brake was not connected properly...any ideas why? The VSS wire is WHITE/ green in connector A, pin 18 at the ECM on manual transmission vehicles, and it is blue/white in connector E, pin 25 at the PCM on automatic vehicles. The ECM/PCM is behind the glove box.

If the vehicle is equipped with cruise control, the wire can also be found at the cruise control unit to the left of the gas pedal. The wire is blue/white there. Once the VSS is correct and properly connected the speedo gauge on the screen will start working on it's own after you drive at for a little while.

As far as the parking brake just make sure that the wire you connected to is NEGATIVE when the parking brake is set. On the Pioneers it will often display on the screen that the brake is not connected properly even though it is..just a quirk in the way  they work. If after you enter "ok" on the bottom right of the message screen everything works then all is as it should be.

Thanks, the day after I connected everything and posted that message I went back down to my garage and turned the car on and drove it some more and it all worked again. When I connected it I had the correct wire but it didn't start working properly until I had driven the car for a bit. That's what threw me off. The same went for the parking brake wire. When I read the operators manual (who needs it) it said pretty much the same thing that you said...it just takes time to adjust to the new install. Everything works fine now and it was a fun install. Now onto the D3 in my xterra. Once again, I appreciate the help.
