Basic knowledge question, lets say you have two 10 inch speakers that are dual voice coil, dual 2 ohm, and are rated at 150 W RMS and 300 W max. What 2 channel amp would you use with it? I was thinking a 400 watt amp so each channel would get about 200 watts. Then throw on a power cap to take care of power needs, or would an extra battery and an isolator be needed for extra juice?

How much are you looking to spend? As far as the power goes for 400 watts you don’t need a second battery. I would suggest a capacitor all you need is 1/2 farad but I would go with a 1 Farad not that much of a difference in price.

well I would have to say around a grand but I dont wanna over do it. I was thinking on one 12' but I like the two 10's more. I am an ImageDynamics fan so I would have to say two of there 10's which, like I said take 150 RMS and 300 max watts. So what kind of amp would make the speakers BOOM? Would this combo be a trunk rattiling combo?--(in a good way I mean)

Well i would say that you need to look at  an amp that has at least 3 channels so when and if you ever get door speekers you can run them off the 3erd channel. Then your system will be complete and you wont have to buy nothing else..Basic Amp Q - Last Post -- posted image.
