I bought a 12" Eclipse subwoofer off of my friend. He had the sub in his car for a few years and his brother gave it to him before that. I'm trying to find some specs on it but I'm not too sure which model it is. Here are a few pictures. trying to identify an eclipse sub -- posted image.

Anything? From what I've read most that *look* like this use 400-500 watts RMS. So I guess I'll just get an amp suitable and see how it goes.

I'm not sure...sorry I couldn't help.
I'd feed it prolly around 500 watts rms.
Meter the leads and see what the DCR is to confirm the coil impedances

It is the first generation Eclipse aluminum cone. 88120 IIRC. It was indeed 500w rms and was available as a svc or dvc version.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
