I am putting a remote start in this truck I am using a pkuch2x, I cannot get the truck to crank on remote start cycle. It just clicks under the hood and nothing happens. The accessories turn on and the igntion powers up the fuel pump. I am not trying the antenna loop yet just leaving the key in the ignition. Any ideas?

Do you have both starter wires hooked up? Directechs is showing  dark GREEN/ YELLOW (+)  as starter, and PURPLE / brown (-) through a 180 ohm resistor as the second starter wire. This wire is also your acc. wire (-) through a 610 ohm resistor.

leaving the key in the ignition is the problem, keysense is also done through that PURPLE / brown wire. It's throwing your resistance off.

why dont you program pkuch2x????? Take the screw out of back of the module....That'll help with programming and follow manual.... WHat wires you connected to ignition switch? Is that a stand-alone unit?

try just holding the key up to the lock and remote start, if it works cool, if it doesn't, i was having an intermittent problem with this same setup where I had to use a relay to trigger ground out while running during crank only... pm me if you need any more info

My other installer posted this. Its usually something stupid, it was. There are 2 PURPLE / violet wires in the ignition harness, he had the wrong one. I programmed bypass and it works perfect. And yes he will be getting his won log in. Thanx for the help. Just lucky he didn't burn anything up.

I had the same issue with my installer, screwed me up for a little while. You have to tag the one that changes voltage during the key position changing. The other PURPLE / brown didn't register anything.

An installer that doesnt know how to use a meter?  Accident waiting to happen I guess.  But on the other hand, instead of judging I would say make him read up on this website and make him learn the basics.
