I Just got a 2001 jimmy and installed my Remote Start & alarm (Compustar), everything is working right except for the power door locks.  i connect 12 volts to the wire of the locks and they work but when i hook up the brain to it and arm the alarm they dont lock. i tried everything with relays, diode isolating, i just cant figure itout. i had it working on my windstar last week.if any one can give me hand i would be very thankful.

Specify the model of the compustar.  As fot the lock wire just use your dmm and connector your negative lead to ground and red lead to the lock wire from the alarm.  Lock the door with the remote to see if it pulses.

The Jimmy has (+) type door locks and all Compustar units are (-) trigger. You must use relays and wire them up like this diagram.

Test the output of the BLUE & BLUE/BLACK wire to ensure that it's output is (-) trigger when locking or unlocking. There will be voltage on these wires if the system is still working properly.

So I couldnt fix this problem, i dont know why. But what i did is hook the lock to aux 1 and unlock to aux 2. It works but now when i turn on or off the alarm i got to press another button to unlock or lock the doors.

my guess is you shorted out the lock outputs on the unit.
