hi my friends. well i just did an alarm on a 2002 nissan altima. but im having trouble with the door locks. i cant make them work. are they negative or positive. and wheres is the BCM located?. any advice will help thank you.

LOCK

Pink/blue

On 16-pin brown plug inside driver's door

These wires are found inside the driver's door on a 16-pin brown plug to the switch assembly (see the photo). If vehicle has no factory alarm, the doorlocks wires will be PINK for lock and BROWN for unlock. You will find them at the body ECU on the left side of the steering column. The WHITE/ BLUE disarm/unlock wire required a double pulse to unlock the doors, a single pulse disarms the alarm only.

UNLOCK

WHITE/ blue

On 16-pin brown plug inside driver's door

DOORPIN

SEE NOTES

Driver's door is LT.BLUE, passenger door is PINK/BLUE, and rear doors are RED / BLACK. All wires are negative trigger and are found on a 14-pin white connector at the vehicle's body ECU on the left side of the steering column. See the photo.

HOODPIN

Yellow/black

At pinswitch behind left headlight

TRUNK PIN

Violet/white

At body ECU on left of steering column

TRUNK RELEASE

Blue/red

At body ECU on left of steering column

FACTORY ARM

Arms with lock wire

FACTORY DISARM

Disarms with unlock wire

The BCM's next to the fuse box - which brings up an interesting question. How'd you do the alarm and NOT access/use the BCM? That's where you get the door trigger(s) and trunk trigger.

I guess you COULD run your own door/trunk pins, but what's the point??

THANKS FOR THE HELP. well i got all my pins from the kick panel. i tried using the wires from the driver door for the locks. and when i arm it the doors lock but also the two front windows go up. and when i disarm it with a double pulse, the doors dont unlock but, the two front windows go down. this doorlock system is a typeB. can i help some help please? thank you

it seems like you got the wrong wires...did you meter them?? I have done that car before and the wires are inside the door in harness coverd in tape running in the middle...there are colors that are almost the same so you must meter not just connect the wire and test...you can burn something out since you are giving an output...

i think i burned sumthing already. the driver door doesnt lock. it locks but doesnt unlock. can u help me fix the problem? what do i need to fix it?

You need to shorten the pulse going for the unlock and lock wires. Most alarms now have an option for a .2 second, 1 second and 3 second length pulse. You need to use the shortest setting. You will also need to turn on "double pulse unlock". It sounds like you have the right wires, you just need to change some settings.

In your last post you say it doesn't lock...then in the next sentence you say it locks but doesn't unlock. Explain...

Correction, my mistake. i meant to say when, i arm the alarm it does not lock. but it does unlock when i disarm it. now, i did find the wires at the BCM but werent functional. then i went on to the door and those where function BUT, the thing here was that when i armed the alarm the doors locked and the windows too.(that was strange). same thing when i disarmed it, doors unlock as well the windows rolled down and half way. again this was very strange. and now, well the driver side does not lock but it does lock with the alarm. i did everything possible to fix the problem but i ran out of resources. any help will be apreciated.
