Does this rely on the pulse being a specific short duration to work?
Wouldn't the first pulse still make it through to the output if it were to remain active after the point that both relays closed?

This is a modification of the above that should block the first pulse from getting through, and allow the second pulse to pass, if sent within the allowed window; take a look and see if it'll work out.

Hey dualsport, I like it although it might need a resistor across the cap. Mind if I borrow it? Do you use Eagle for your schematics?

No prob, borrow away!  It was your idea anyway, with a twist.  I may end up using it to honk my horn when locking my doors on my Caddy's factory RKE, which is oddly set up with no audible feedback.   I'll double pulse it to honk the horn, and when a single pulse is issued, it'll stay silent for the times I want it to be silent and don't need the feedback.

I use Orcad for all the drawings; very easy to draw with it-

Why do you need a resistor across the cap though? The coil of the relay will drain down the cap in short order, so I didn't figure it'd need any extra resistance.

This just adds a delay to the relay and causes it to lock out the second pulse.

When in doubt, try it out !

There's not much to it, only variable is you have to select the right size cap based on the relay it's connected to. If you have a large current hungry relay, the amount of time you have to send the second pulse will be shorter compared to if you used a small low power relay.
I'd add a transistor driver to control the timing regardless of the relay selection, but most people want to keep it as simple as possible.
By the way, the first pulse is the one that gets blocked; the second one passes through.

I found this module...450R

BIG DOG/Anyone :- Do you think 450R can be activate using output from unlock wire?

Once press Unlock Button - Activate Channel 1(Unlock the car )

Twice press Unlock Button-Activate Channel 2

3 times press Unlock Button-Activate Channel 3

4 times press Unlock button-Activate Channel 4

and so on....

Anyone think its possible to be done? Coz my alarm dont have any auxilary output? Really need advise...Coz plan to put autostart, window module,horn..

Thanks

Hey megatfauzi76, you're on to something good. However, you need the 450T not the 450R.

The 450T is controlled by a single wire whereas the 450R has an antenna and requires a DEI remote with multi-channels.

For the 450T to work, test your unlock output of your security system first to see if in fact it sends a pulse everytime you press the unlock consecutively because not all systems do.

I usually test this by temporarily connecting a relay to the output. If I can get it to activate consecutively within two seconds of each button press then the output is OK for the 450T.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
