Hi!,
I am trying to wire a compustar 2was 8000 alarm in a 1992 Toyota Soarer (same body style as a 1992 Lexus SC400). The car has a inline 6 cylinder with a twin turbo instead of a 4.0L V8. I would like to know the wire colour codes for the car, and I am having extreme difficulty finding the tach wire. Any help would be appreciated.

You can test at the dagonostic port i know the jdm models you can get a good signal at the port, if all else fails use an injector wire.1992 toyota soarer alarm colour codes -- posted image.

There is a box in engine bay from where leads go to injector ports. open up and you will find one of the cables is excessively long. That is your tach lead. If it has a coil, go to the  - side, if it has an OBD socket, look for a black able with silver dots, failing all of the above (which apply to IS 200/300, GS 300) go to rear of tach. Tach terminal = Ign, lights, ground and RPM
