I think you are misunderstanding what the Fs is.  It doesn't necessarily constitute the low frequency extention of the sub as there are other factors that will effect this as well.  Also note that there were compromises elsewhere in the design to allow a lower Fs.

That sub does look nice, espeically for the price.  I personally would rather have the CSS sub as it will have lower distortion due to the XBL^2 motor, the use of a single spider, and the lower inductance.  But then I may be biased.  Plus although the aluminum cone TC uses looks nice, it is very easy to dent it.  They should have a higher power handling though.

As far as new pricing goes, you won't find them anywhere else. Only other way is to find someone trying to sell some used ones.

Thank you steven, I probably am mistaking the Fs, i do understand having the correct enclosure will be the major factor in the Fs, I think anyways...haha. Im very new to all this as you can probably tell.
But for those CSS subs you put a link onto earlier in the thread , it says home theater. Would they also perform good in a vehicle? The css do seem to edge out the tc sounds sub i guess from reading more about the css sub. And that is a concern for me, that is the denting of the cone on the tc sub. I have read that same problem about the Rockford Fosgate subs, thats a major reason I dont want to buy Fosgate(and they are over priced if you ask me)
And what is all the hype about the XBL^2 motor?

They list it as a car audio sub as well.

The XBL^2 motor is a patented motor topology by Adire Audio.  It allows long excursion capabilities with shorter coils.  And by doing this it keeps the BL much more consistant over that excursion which reduces distortion.  Here's a link to some papers about it:

If you are installing these in a Sonoma extended cab, better check the depth of the speaker and the volume requirement for 2 of the subs you choose. Add in the space required to mount the amps, too. You may find your idea is a little bigger than what can actually be accomplished in the extended cab area. Unless you plan on filling up the space up to the bottom of the rear window, then you might be okay...

Exactly right Paradigm about the box, I figure I'll need 11-12 cubic feet of box space at most, which I think might just fit in the x-cab, and leave almost all, if not all of my rear window to see out of. If it covers it up, i would plan on putting a camera facing backwards, and put my 7" screen in place of my rear view mirror.
On a side note, I want to do that any ways, put several security cameras on my truck and be able to record, you can never trust those crooked cops!
And to steven, longer excursion, shorter coils you say? Sounds like something that would fit better for my particular application anyways, plus the added bonus of reduced distortion, which Im ALL about, id rather have clean bass any day!
