i'm getting an extreme high pitch noise coming from the alpine cda-9857 only when the source is on sirius. its when the engine is on or off. i tried using rca ground loop isolaters, noice filters through the ground and power. i have the sirius/traffic tuner grounded to the same ground and power(yellow) wire from the hu . the instructions said not to use the RED / ign wire if using alpine hu, so i left it out. it's on a 2002 toyota sequoia with premium sound. maybe i need to ground the sirius tuner separately. i guess it could be the equipment.... could it be the hu if the sound is perfect from all other sources? i hate looking like a retard in front of a customer.

well i replaced the traffic/sirius tuner and noise still there, changed the ai net cable and it went away, for a short while then came back. called alpine tech and he said the cables that come with the sirius equipment tuners(i guess made by dei) are made by monster and fail. i ordered alpine cables, should fix. will post when i do. wish someone knew this. i love spending hours of my own dime learning this crapola. the joy of owning a shop.....but im not bitching, i'm just happy to be here
