Do you mean it starts your car when you press the option AND key button at the same time? If thats what you meant, then thats the way its supposed to be, and I wouldnt change it. Its a safety thing having to press 2 buttons at the same time. Id keep as it is if I were you cause its real easy to accidently hit the remote start button (If you chose to program it to a single button) while the remote is in your pockets.

But.... If you really insist on changing it, go check out Audiovox.com and enter that model number. It'll show you wether you want to see the install or owners manual. I believe the programming should be in the owners manual, but Im not sure.

To program a new remote you need to find the push button switch, not the on and off switch. Turn the ignition on and press that button 3 times. The siren will chirp. Press the lock button on your remote, then push the push button switch, the siren will then chirp 2 times, press unlock on the remote. Press the push button switch again, the siren will chirp 3 times, press the key icon on your remote. Press the push button one final time the siren will chirp 4 times press the trunk release button on the remote, then shut off the ignition and your done. I can't help on the other problem, you are supposed to hit the key icon 2 times for start. Unless you have a VW you are going to need a window mod to do the windows or sunroof.

well i found out the the options button turns the car on becuase it was programmed for easier turn on...the key button i need to press twice to turn on the car, or the options button once, which isnt too good due to the fact its in my pocket, so if anyone can tell me how to reprogram that...and also i have a scion tc 2005, and its a hatch back, just curious to know if i can open the hatch with the remote? as for the windows, i need a module i already know that, but thanks anyways on that one :) appriciate it :)
